Oh, C.R.A.P…Learning the Basics of Design with InDesign
March 29, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Are you interested in learning more about graphic design? Does InDesign scare you? This workshop will walk you through basic design principles while working with InDesign. We’ll talk contrast, repetition, alignment and proximity – the foundation of good design. Then we’ll dive into InDesign and create a flyer for your organization that utilizes those design principles.
Who should attend?
Anyone who would like a better working knowledge of design principles and who has limited experience with InDesign. We will work to cater to different skill levels throughout the workshop. And everyone will leave with a design they have created!
What to bring?
If you have a laptop and InDesign, bring that along – there may be some settings that you would like to save to your workspace. If you don’t, that’s okay! We’ll have computers and temporary log-ins prepped for you.
Everyone should bring information to create a flyer/poster. We recommend info for an upcoming event that your organization is hosting. Make sure you know the who, what, when, where, and why. You may want to bring any photos, logos, etc. along with you on a flash drive or have them easily accessible in cloud storage.
