The American Advertising Federation of Southwest Virginia is the best place to meet and mingle with our region’s professionals in marketing, communications, design and advertising. AAF SWVA brings together customers, suppliers and decision makers from a variety of organizations. From frequent professional development events to socials to awards galas, there are many opportunities to meet, learn from, and brainstorm with your peers.
Professional development and continuing education are an important part of organizational and personal growth. AAF SWVA holds these events on a monthly basis. Typically, the luncheons last an hour. These “lunch-n-learns” are prime opportunities to learn about industry trends, new technology, and skills to foster growth. Membership benefits include free or discounted tickets to our Lunch-N-Learn events.
The American Advertising Awards (formerly known as the ADDYs) is one of the most exciting events we hold yearly. It is the National American Advertising Federation’s premiere creative competition starting right here at the local level. It is an opportunity to showcase and recognize the quality creative work that is produced in Southwest Virginia with an ADDY award. AAF SWVA members receive discounts on entries into the American Advertising Awards each year.
There are plenty of opportunities to become involved in AAF SWVA. The board of directors is comprised of volunteers who help the club run and grow. If you’re passionate about education, communications, public service, multiculturalism or even government affairs, there is a place for you to develop your leadership skills and to make a difference in our advertising and marketing community.
