Social media management is time-consuming, littered with PR pitfalls, and the platforms are ever changing, making it hard to stay current…but it’s also no longer optional. A social media strategy is absolutely essential, and not just for national brands. This session is especially geared towards small businesses, non-profits and the self-employed. How do you prioritize your time and budget to get the most out of the existing social media channels, and what channels should you be looking at in the future?
Amanda Livingston, TMP is the Marketing Manager for the Abingdon Convention & Visitors Bureau. She earned her Tourism Marketing Professional certification from Southeast Tourism Society, and has 13 years experience in the marketing field, having worked for arts organizations, small businesses and the tourism industry. She graduated from Rice University in Houston, TX, and has completed graduate coursework at UNC- Chapel Hill in the field of Communications and Technology.
